Lane B. Stephens
President
Lane graduated from the University of California at Berkeley. After graduating he worked at Colliers International in the industrial real estate division initially as an assistant for a leading industrial agent and later as a broker. In April of 1999, while still at Colliers, Donald and Lane Stephens formed Stephens & Stephens, LLC, to acquire industrial properties in the Bay Area.
During 1999-2000, Stephens & Stephens, LLC, purchased four investment properties in the East Bay. In February 2001, Lane came into D. R. Stephens & Company as a full-time principal. Since then, the Firm has been acquiring investment properties in conjunction with outside capital partners.
Nicholas Stephens
Vice President and Asset Manager
Nicholas graduated from Colorado College in 2002. In 2005, Nicholas began working for Cornish & Carey Commercial in their San Mateo office. He worked on a three-man team whose focus ranged from Net Leased Investment transactions throughout the United States to representing Bay Area landlords and tenants in their leasing and sales needs. He left Cornish & Carey and joined D. R. Stephens & Company in 2008. Among other duties, he is in charge of daily operations, human resources, and asset management.
Nicholas Kapranos
Vice President, Senior Analyst and Construction Manager
Nicholas graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a BA in Business Economics. He began his career in 2002 at Portland-Pacific, LLC, a private real estate investment firm with offices in Santa Barbara and San Francisco. In early 2007, Nicholas joined D. R. Stephens & Company, where he works closely with Lane Stephens to analyze acquisition opportunities. In addition, he oversees construction and the redevelopment projects on existing properties. He is licensed in California as a real estate broker.
Leanne Hanson
Senior Accountant/Loan & Escrow Coordinator Leanne has a BS in Accounting from the University of Phoenix. In addition to her accounting functions, she performs loan and escrow coordination. Originally from Washington State, Leanne has now made California her home. She enjoys working out and being outdoors.
Rachel Pozzi
Property Manager
Rachel brings over 20 years of experience managing upwards of 4 million square feet of all asset classes. She has directed over 8 million dollars in tenant improvements and has a keen sense for the due diligence process. She has held multiple board positions for CREW Silicon Valley and served on several committees for BOMA Silicon Valley. She holds a California Brokers License as well as a Paralegal Certificate.
Rachel’s passion for community service brought her to volunteering at The Bill Wilson Center, which works with at risk youth and raises funds for veterans’ organizations.
Rachel enjoys skiing, traveling and keeping a healthy lifestyle.
Andres Montoya
Property Manager
With over 15 years of real estate and property management experience, Andres has performed in multiple operational capacities, and is knowledgeable in various aspects of the industry - from residential brokerage to the management of multi-unit buildings, commercial properties, and R&D/industrial buildings. Andres has a keen ability to identify deficiencies and implement solutions, with great attention to detail. He has been successful and efficient in the coordination of projects related to the maintenance, rehabilitation, and management of numerous properties throughout the Bay Area.
Andres grew up in Morgan Hill, CA. He enjoys spending time with family, reading, cooking, tending to his garden, and traveling.
Huong Tran
Senior Property Accountant
Huong earned her degree in Managerial Economics at UC Davis and has worked in various aspects of accounting since then, including work as a Staff Accountant. She has experience in both payables and receivables as well. Her past experience includes working at a Cross Cultural Consulting Company and an online advertising company. She grew up in the Richmond District of San Francisco.
Kim Vo
Property Accountant
Kim graduated from San Francisco State University with a BS in Computer Information Systems. She has worked in large and small accounting departments since 2004, and has experience in both receivables and collections. Kim lived in Maryland for five years and is now back in San Francisco to be close to her family.
Karen Faint
Accounts Payable Specialist
Karen has worked in diverse industries managing the full cycle of accounts payable. She has in-depth knowledge of various accounting software programs. She uses her expertise in a variety of office functions and procedures to meet challenging business demands and deal effectively with clients and vendors. She is originally from Okinawa, Japan before relocating to Northern California. One of her major interests is fishing in the various lakes and rivers through California.
